Following on from preliminary results from a feasibility study carried out with the Athlone Institute of Technology  at the end of 2017 into turning the machine learning price forecasting prototype underpinning our ISSC 2017 publication into a generic add-on to our Artesian repository we have been awarded an Innovation Voucher to obtain some more accurate results.

The feasibility study showed some promise in adopting an AutoML approach such as H2O , but further investigation into factors affecting unusual price swings at peak times is required to validate the robustness of such an approach. We are grateful to Enterprise Ireland for the awarded innovation voucher and we are confident it will enable us to  better validate the business potential of turning this R&D work into a product. We look forward to furthering our working relationship with AIT throughout this engagement.
