VISION
Our vision is born out of the firm belief that the efficiency of an information economy is a function of the pervasiveness of cloud computing and that this, in turn, can only realise its full potential through the provision of targeted business orientated services capable of placing people in full control of the overwhelming amounts of data increasingly being generated. We believe data scientists and energy market participants should be free of the burden of data preparation, conformance and alignment and be able to readily and freely compose heterogeneous sources directly into analytical models to extract meaningful information and derive insights. We also believe that this step is instrumental to the fruitful exploitation of artificial intelligence technologies supporting similar aims.

OUR STORY
From boutique consulting to innovation
ConsultingARK is founded in Genoa (Italy) as a boutique consultancy combining enterprise architecture and business skills focused on energy markets.
2010
OutsourcingThe output of consulting activities is converted into application management generating outsourcing contracts.
2011
ARK becomes a mini groupCapitalising on the experiences and partnerships made, ARK initiates a transition from a services to a products company. After consultation with the Irish Development Agency and the Longford Enterprise Office, new company headquarters are established in Ireland. A dedicated software lab is created whilst retaining the strong consulting, outsourcing and architecture capabilities developed to date in Italy.
2013
Project ARKiveARK’s first product, codenamed Project ARKive, enters an early restricted beta with two large European wholesalers willing to gain early product access in exchange for the ability to influence the roadmap. ARK is accepted in the Microsoft BizSpark startup programme.
2014
1st Channel to market securedARK seals a joint venture with Key to Energy leveraging the work carried out during Project ARKive as a foundation for a European energy information portal - K4VIEW - with an initial focus on the Italian market.
2015
K4VIEW launchK4VIEW is launched in Milan on the 19th May to an audience of circa 200.
2016
Artesian restricted betaCapitalising on the lessons learnt during the execution of Project ARKive, ARK completes the construction of a new version of its product - Artesian - redesigned from the ground up with the information economy in mind. The product includes an innovative user interface allowing users to search and retrieve data in an intuitive fashion and the capability to store and efficiently retrieve extremely substantial amounts of data. Restricted beta participants are migrated to the new platform. ARK graduates from the Microsoft BizSpark programme.
2017
ArtesianWe will proudly present Artesian to the general enterprise market at the end of June in London during Energy Risk 2018. Artesian will therefore graduate to a publicly available product crowning the last five years of research and development activities and, with your support, we will initiate the next cycle in our company’s development.

Energy Trading & Risk Management
We combine experience of popular trading and risk management platforms utilised by energy wholesalers and investment banks together with a deep understanding of the underlying end to end business processes and their impact on the resulting enterprise architecture. We are deeply familiar with regulatory constraints around the trading of energy derivatives and with their impact on IT architectures.
Energy Retail
Both the consulting and outsourcing functions have direct experience of platforms utilised in the retail space across multiple client segments, from residential to SMEs and complex multi national industrial installations covering end to end processes from acquisition to billing and regulatory compliance.

We have been early adopters of Microsoft Azure technology and seeing it grow from humble beginnings to the fully fledged leading platform it is today. We help our clients develop enterprise architecture strategies and blueprints matching the evolution of their systems landscape to the relevant components of their business model, incorporating cloud strategies where appropriate.
